I visited Mais Chinese Restaurant in Orlando with a family group of 8, and overall, we had a pretty enjoyable dining experience. As soon as we arrived, the waitress was very welcoming and seated our large group promptly. She also offered us drinks right away, which was appreciated and made the beginning of the meal feel smooth and organized. One of the highlights was definitely the variety of food available. There was a good selection of seafood, and much of it tasted fresh. There were plenty of different dishes to choose from, so everyone in our group was able to find something they enjoyed. With eight people, we were able to try quite a bit of the selection, and by the end of the meal, we were absolutely stuffed! The dessert selection was another strong point. There were several options, including different cakes, puddings, and ice cream. Having that variety was a nice way to finish the meal, especially after having so many savory options. My main criticism was the music. The restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere overall, and the Chinese instrumental music initially contributed nicely to the environment. I’ve been to plenty Chinese buffets in my life. This is by far the worst one I have been to. When we got there, the police were called for two ladies that did not want to pay the bill, they were upset that the food was cold and a gratuity charge (should’ve been our sign to run) The food was cold, everything seemed to have no flavor at all. The crab ragoon tasted like pure cream cheese inside. Once we got to leave our bill was $140 for two adults and three kids, we were charged an automatic 15% gratuity charge, they don’t mention that anywhere in the building. I’m all about tipping a server but I mean they came to our table once and that was to take our drink order. Super disappointed. I would not bring your family here.

We took our family of 6 at 6:30 on a Wednesday night. After being here for about 15 minutes a family completely walked out after asking multiple times for them to cook fresh food. She left without paying. Our family didn’t have anything that was worth eating. Everything was cold and we had to ask them to cook fresh food multiple times. It was 22$ per person and the service was very mediocre at best. It cost our family 150$ and she added 15% gratuity on top of it. She tipped herself 30$. My father’s only words were shut it down. Definitely would not recommend and will we be returning. Staff wasn’t friendly and the bathroom wasn’t in the slightest bit clean. We have had better experiences in Mexico eating at buffets.

Dont know why people complain so much,best deal,lots choice,consistently bring fresh food out,15% tip auto charged,I would do 25% 😍self service but they still give u water and clean u plates off all time.It’s a steal, definitely go back!

My parents and I went on a Thursday at opening time. Food was great and fresh, the staff was super nice and attentive, it’s a family business ❤️ Honestly, you can’t beat the prices, we were three people, ate to our hearts’ content and a bit more, all for $47. Where else would we get so much food for just around $15 per person? Great placeC great food, great location. We’ll definitely be back.
